Pastor Ed will offer a two week, new members class in the chapel on Sunday mornings at 9am on September 15th & 22nd. New Members will be received on Sunday, September 29th during the morning worship service at 10am. If you have been attending Grace UMC regularly and are interested in becoming a new members please talk with Pastor Ed and plan to attend these classes.
Rev. Jodie Smith, the Franklin District Superintendent will preaching at the Saturday & Sunday service at Grove City Grace UMC. Offering the final installment in the sermon series on the book of James, Rev. Smith will preach on the power of community while Pastor Ed is leading the Autism Family Retreat @ Jumonville, Friday, September 20-22, 2019.
Pastor Willard will be leading a ‘basic’ study on the subject of prayer, utilizing “The Workbook of Living Prayer” by Maxie Dunham, on September 24th to help us to learn to pray in simple and practical ways.
The study meet on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the Church. However, if there is enough interest, Willard will offer the same study in the evening; so, if an evening is better for you, please let the Church office know which evening is best for you.
This will be a 6 week study, and there are ‘Daily Readings’, some Scripture reading, a few ‘Reflecting and Recording questions’, and some ‘Instructions for the Day’ exercises for each day – all included in the Workbook.
Cost of the Workbook: $6.00 and are available in the church office.
Retired pastor, Rev. Wayne Meyer, will preach on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6 and 13 & 14, 2019 while Pastor Ed is first vacationing and then serving as the Head Spiritual Director for the Three Rivers Walk to Emmaus Fall Walk at the Nazarene Christian Camp in Butler, Pa.
